Senior Teacher / Instructor Training
During her University – Nanae majored in Japanese history – where she studied abroad for a year and a half focusing on language studies at Chinese Culture University in Taiwan.
She began her Japanese language teaching career in 1995 and gained teaching experience at Japanese language schools in Japan, Malaysia and Taiwan. She also worked as a lecturer for a Japanese language teacher training course and as a curriculum coordinator helping to launch new Japanese schools.
In her free time – Nanae enjoys traditional Japanese pursuits such as tea ceremony, flower arranging, playing the koto and wearing kimono.
A message from Nanae
I’m always thinking about what it means “to be a teacher.” With so many self-study tools available, such as books, videos, and apps, a teacher needs a wide range of knowledge about the Japanese language and the skills to communicate that knowledge in order to provide more value. I reflect on this and devote myself to improving myself as a teacher every day.
