Practical Japanese for Beginners – Beginner

You will start by learning Japanese skills for everyday use. Since you’ll be studying vocabulary for times and places, as well as basic grammar, you’ll be able to create simple sentences by yourself.

 

Topic Conversation for Beginners – Beginner

In this class, each time by learning three to five sentence structures and question sentences depending on the topic, even a beginner will be able to enjoy small talk. You will also learn natural conversation skills such as agreement and showing interest. Since there is no romaji in the teaching materials, being able to read kana is a requirement.

 

Beginner 1-6 – Beginner (JLPT N5-N4)

It is a class that teaches beginner grammar in stages before developing conversation skills. You will also learn about beginner Kanji characters. You will become able to have a simple conversation about future and past happenings using basic verbs and adjectives. To join Beginner 1, reading sentences in Hiragana and Katakana is required. 

 

Active Basic Japanese Grammar – Beginner (JLPT N5-N4)

The most essential grammar and how to use verbs by learning conjugation. This will form the foundation of your Japanese and allow you to get to a level where you can use Japanese freely.

 

Essential Grammar and Conversation – Beginner (JLPT N4)

You’ll be able to convey your wishes, study assumptive expressions and describe your opinions or actions more accurately. The grammar covered in this course is the most used grammar in Japanese. This course is very popular with long term residents.

 

Bridge to Intermediate – Upper Beginner (JLPT N4-N3)

This course focuses on a total review of the most important basic sentence patterns, improving vocabulary for a variety of daily situations, and building longer sentences through combinations. The class is for students to apply and make the most of these abilities. 

 

Intermediate 3 – Intermediate (JLPT N3)

Get proficient in Japanese. You will further develop your proficiency in the Japanese language. Practice your knowledge with real world scenarios.

 

Intermediate 4 – Intermediate (JLPT N3)

Get proficient in Japanese. You will further develop your proficiency in the Japanese language. Practice your knowledge with real world scenarios.

 

Natural and Fluent Japanese Communication 1 – Intermediate (JLPT N3)

The goal of this course is to expand your vocabulary and freely use it in numerous sentence patterns that sound nuanced and natural during a variety of situations. You will expand your abilities and improve on ways to express yourself. (48 sessions)

 

JLPT N3 Preparation – Intermediate (JLPT N3)

Natural and Fluent Japanese Communication 2 – Upper Intermediate (JLPT N2)

The goal of this course is to expand your vocabulary and freely use it in numerous sentence patterns that sound nuanced and natural during a variety of situations. You will expand your abilities and improve on ways to express yourself. (24 sessions)

 

JLPT N2 Preparation – Upper Intermediate (JLPT N2)

Conversation Grammar and News Reading – Upper Intermediate to Advanced (JLPT N3-N2)

Conversation Grammar:  Students will engage in practice conversations (Memorization and role-playing) while answering questions based on N2 and N3-level sentence patterns.
*Purchase of textbook is required.

News Reading:  Students will read short, intermediate-level newspaper articles (about 800 characters in length) and discuss afterwards. Sentence patterns and vocabulary will be verified. The class will focus more on reading comprehension skills rather than knowledge of kanji characters, so almost all kanji characters will have furigana ruby (hiragana character annotations to assist in reading) applied.

 

News Listening and News Reading – Upper Intermediate to Advanced (JLPT N3-N2)

News Listening: Listen to a short news piece, grasp the content and have a discussion. We will study vocabulary and grammar.

News Reading:  Students will read short, intermediate-level newspaper articles (about 800 characters in length) and discuss afterwards. Sentence patterns and vocabulary will be verified. The class will focus more on reading comprehension skills rather than knowledge of kanji characters, so almost all kanji characters will have furigana ruby (hiragana character annotations to assist in reading) applied.

 

News Listening and Explanation Training – Upper Intermediate to Advanced (JLPT N3-N2)

News Listening: Listen to a short news piece, grasp the content and have a discussion. We will study vocabulary and grammar.

Explanation Training: This is a class in which the topic will be different each time. We will have a short speech and discussion. We will study the vocabulary and grammar (including grammatical sentence endings) necessary to ensure a logical progression, and will study how to explain your opinions on various topics in a clear and easy to understand manner.  

 

All part-time courses are in small groups of around 3-6 students (no more than 8 students). The course fees are as follows:

  • 100 mins x  8 sessions: ¥44,800  (valid for 3 months)
  • 100 mins x  16 sessions: ¥86,400  (valid for 8 months)
  • 100 mins x  32 sessions: ¥166,400  (valid for 12 months)
  • 100 mins x 48 sessions:  ¥240,000  (valid for 16 months)
